JLC Testifies on Health Reform Implementation

On June 10th, Frank Kelly, III and JLC Chairman Jonathan Anders testified before the Governor’s Health Care Reform Coordinating Council.   As Health Care reform is implemented, our association will continue to educate public officials about the role of the producer in the health insurance transaction – something many officials know little or nothing about.  We will also strongly advocate that any new exchange must not have an unfair advantage over the current system of insurance distribution.  You can see those points emphasized in the statement that Frank delivered.

The Council will continue to meet through the summer and into the fall and we expect a busy time ahead of us before the exchange is finally operational in 2014.
